Job Summary

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of CommunityPractice, CU Medicine East Denver, is seeking a compassionateObstetrics and Gynecology generalist for a full‑time facultyposition at the Instructor level or above in the Denver metroarea.

This position provides high-quality, patient-centered care acrossoutpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings while workingcollaboratively with providers and staff to support coordinatedcare for the Denver community. The role includes shared servicecoverage, with night and weekend calls at Rose MedicalCenter.

The position also offers opportunities to support medical studentsand resident education within an academic medicineenvironment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered obstetrics and gynecologycare across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings.
  • Participate in shared call coverage, including night and weekendcalls.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses,and staff to support efficient, coordinated care across thepractice.
  • Supervise and teach medical students and residents in clinicaland procedural settings.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete medical documentation andrequired training.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives that support patientsafety, care quality, and clinical outcomes.
  • Contribute to community outreach and patient education effortsthat advance the health and well-being of the communities weserve.

Instructor :
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Sr. Instructor:

  • Four (4) years of post-residency clinical experience inObstetrics and Gynecology, with demonstrated commitment tohigh-quality patient care, collaboration, and clinicalexcellence
Assistant Professor:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Active, unrestricted Colorado medical license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Six (6) years of post-residency clinical experience in Obstetricsand Gynecology, with demonstrated commitment to high-qualitypatient care, collaboration, and clinical excellence
Associate Professor:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Active, unrestricted Colorado medical license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Seven (7) years of post-residency clinical experience inObstetrics and Gynecology, with demonstrated commitment tohigh-quality patient care, collaboration, and clinical excellence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in high-volume and/or high-risk obstetrics
  • Experience supporting clinical education
  • Knowledge of Epic and Meditech electronic medical recordsystems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Labor management, including knowledge of normal and high-risklabor progression
  • Fetal heart rate monitoring and interpretation
  • Knowledge of gynecologic evaluation and management
  • Experience with contraception counseling and procedures,including LARC placement and removal
  • Ability to perform routine gynecologic surgeries
  • Clear, effective communication and clinical documentation
  • Demonstrated professionalism, compassion, and a patient-centeredapproach to care across diverse populations
Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for thisposition has been established as follows:

  • Instructor: $290,000 to $300,000
  • Sr. Instructor: $301,000 to $320,000
  • Assistant Professor: $321,000 to $330,000
  • Associate Professor: $331,000 to $350,000

This position is eligible for participation in a metric based incentive following the first 12 months of employment.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents theUniversity's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range ofpossible compensation at the time of posting. This position is noteligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
