Job summary

Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Ambulatory Care in Outpatient Preadmission Testing. The RN assesses patients before surgery, coordinates required tests, and educates patients and families to support safe, timely perioperative care.

The role requires active Florida RN licensure, 1 year of nursing experience, and a 40-hour work week, with a Monday–Friday day shift in Wesley Chapel and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes ambulatory care nursing knowledge to promote wellness and patient safety.
• Develops individualized care plans based on patient needs and age-specific considerations.
• Provides patient education and coordinates tests and procedures.
• Collaborates with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the care team to ensure safe perioperative care.
• Demonstrates competency with unit-specific nursing skills and equipment.
• Maintains a safe, caring environment and supports process improvement initiatives.
