Job summary
Orlando Health Medical Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Ambulatory Care and Outpatient Preadmission Testing. The nurse assesses patients pre-surgery, reviews histories, coordinates tests, and educates patients and families, ensuring safe and timely care in collaboration with physicians and anesthesia providers.
The role emphasizes patient-centered care with adherence to regulatory standards and continuous process improvement within a large health system.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Florida or NLC.
- BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for certain areas.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients prior to surgery or procedures and coordinate required tests.
- Provide education to patients and families.
- Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia providers, and the care team to support surgical outcomes.
- Maintain safe, patient-centered care and adhere to regulatory standards.
- Apply ambulatory care nursing knowledge and develop individualized plans of care.
- Demonstrate competency with unit equipment and promote evidence-based care.
