Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days as required by the role.
• RN license valid in Illinois (IDFPR).
• Strong patient education and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides and facilitates competent health care for patients and families within the RN scope.
• Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
• Documents care accurately and completely.
• Delivers health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
• Acts as preceptor and supports staff and healthcare students.
• Provides leadership to improve quality of care or clinical outcomes.
• Assists Nursing Supervisor in developing departmental standing orders.
• Ensures department compliance with DNV standards.
• Coordinates care for patients aged 18–150.
• Performs telephone triage for acute and chronic needs (18–150).
• Assists with in-office procedures (e.g., incision drainage, joint injections).
• Provides in-office diabetes education for patients aged 18–150.
• Administers immunizations; obtains prior authorization for tests outside specialty referrals.
