Job summary

TCH Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Texas Children's Outpatient Kingwood Glen Specialty Care Clinic. You will provide direct nursing care, health teaching, patient advocacy, and coordination of services in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

Responsibilities include evidence-based assessments, care plan development, prioritizing interventions, and reevaluation of care with patients and families. Respiratory fit testing is required for new hires to ensure workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent RN credential.
• Current licensure with Texas Board of Nursing or NLC.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.
• 9 months of professional nursing experience required.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and telephone nursing care, health teaching, and patient advocacy.
• Supervises and coordinates care provided by others; collaborates with healthcare professionals.
• Develops and updates individualized care plans for patients in ambulatory care.
• Prioritizes interventions and evaluates care based on patient needs and requests.
• Ensures care is age- and developmentally appropriate.
