Job summary

Orlando Health Medical Group - Urology is seeking an RN for ambulatory care. This full-time role supports patients who come for treatment and may return home the same day. Shift is Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm, in Longwood, FL.

The position involves providing comprehensive ambulatory nursing care and coordination in a busy practice setting. Qualifications include a nursing degree from an approved program, FL RN licensure (or NLC), BLS certification, and 1 year of experience unless AVP-approved.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ needs using ambulatory care nursing knowledge and evidence-based practice.
• Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and documents patient care.
• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment as defined by unit-specific requisite skills.
• Prioritizes patient care in accordance with Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
• Communicates information regarding patient condition or unit concerns to health care team members.
• Maintains a safe and caring environment for patients and family.
• Participates in Process Improvement activities as assigned.
• Maintains compliance with Orlando Health policies and procedures.
