Job summary

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks an RN to provide comprehensive nursing care across a busy ambulatory setting in Houston. You will work under leadership to ensure patient safety, comfort, and timely care, applying your clinical knowledge and using equipment effectively.

Required qualifications include Texas RN licensure and graduation from an approved nursing program; current BLS is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved professional registered nursing program.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.
• 6+ months in a clinical area; 1+ years of KSC experience may be considered in lieu of 6+ months RN experience with Sr Dir Nursing Services approval.
• Current and valid Texas RN license.
• Ability to use equipment and related supplies for the assigned clinical area, including CPR, oxygen administration, and intravenous therapy.
• Computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients in an assigned clinical area and leadership on the unit, under supervision of a Nurse Supervisor or RN Coordinator.
• Applies clinical nursing knowledge and uses skills to ensure safety and comfort of patients and families according to standards.
• Utilizes critical thinking to identify priorities and make judgments for multiple patients to facilitate timely care.
