The Omaha VA is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide patient-centered care in Ambulatory Care, working with RNs, providers and the PACT team to promote safety, preventive care, and coordinated outpatient services.

Applicants pending licensure may be referred, but cannot be hired until requirements are met; basic requirements include US citizenship and English proficiency; licensure as LPN/LVN in the United States; graduation from an approved program.

Formación

• Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program with state licensure.
• Active, full, current and unrestricted licensure as an LPN/LVN.
• English language proficiency.
• US citizenship requirement per VA policy.

Responsabilidades

• Perform medication administration within the scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on common diseases and treatments.
• Collaborate with RN/MD to orient/train less experienced staff.
• Contribute to safe, efficient, patient-centered outpatient care in Ambulatory Care.
