Job summary

The University of Maryland Faculty Physician's Inc. seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to support ambulatory cardiac surgery.

You will assist in diagnosing and treating patients, perform operative procedures when needed, and coordinate care with the cardiac surgery team to ensure smooth perioperative flow. Responsibilities include ordering tests, facilitating communication with patients and families, and promoting patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• MSN/RN and NP or PA certification required.
• Maryland license or NCCPA certification required.
• DEA and CDS eligibility required.
• CPR and BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Demonstrates professionalism and strong communication skills.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate care and collaborate with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, assists with diagnosing and treating patients.
• Assists in surgery where applicable and supports operative procedures.
• Orders tests and appropriate treatments and coordinates communication with care team.
• Interacts with patient families and ensures patient safety and quality care.
• Promotes professionalism and ongoing training within the department.
