Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in medical billing preferred; but experience can substitute.
• Minimum of one year of accounts receivable experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post electronic and paper remittances and review for accuracy.
• Review clearinghouse errors and resolve discrepancies.
• Answer patient calls regarding balances and post charges as needed.
• Review unpaid claims and work with insurers to resolve issues.
• Send overdue accounts to collection when appropriate and prepare refunds to insurers and patients.
