Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking an Ambulatory Application Analyst to design, build, and test clinical systems under the guidance of the applications team lead. The role supports workflow analysis, configuration, and user training for Epic Ambulatory and related systems, with on-call responsibilities.

The position requires a healthcare environment background, a Bachelor’s degree, and four years of clinical applications experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills in a healthcare environment.
• Four years of experience in clinical applications.
• Experience in clinical information system management in acute or ambulatory care settings preferred.
• Epic Ambulatory certification preferred.
• Must be willing to attend Epic training at the Epic training center.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates design, development, configuration, implementation and support of information systems.
• Represents user needs by understanding operational issues within the application area.
• Plans, trains, implements and evaluates application functionality.
• Troubleshoots and resolves technically challenging problems and customer issues.
• Provides on-call support to customers.
• Supports Epic applications including Oncology/Beacon or Transplant/Phoenix as needed.
• Collaborates with directors, project managers and informatics to coordinate activities.
• Translates workflow analyses into application configurations for consistent system design.
• Participates in weekly team meetings and project updates.
• Coordinates vendor support for functional and technical areas as needed.
• Documents internal policies and procedures related to the application.
