Job summary

American Medical Response, Inc. is hiring a Vehicle Service Technician in San Diego, CA on a full-time basis. You will ensure ambulances are serviced, stocked, safe, and ready to respond, supporting the crew and patients with reliable transportation services.

Compensation starts at $18.43 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a commitment. Minimum qualifications include a state driver’s license and a high school diploma (or GED); preferred healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• State driver’s license required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ambulances are fully stocked and safely maintained for response.
• Maintain a safe and clean vehicle environment for crew and patients.
• Perform daily vehicle inventory checks and update equipment logs; request replacements as needed.
• Run regular mechanical checks (oil, fluids, batteries) and report issues to Fleet Manager.
• Document information clearly and adhere to company policies and information-security standards.
• Coordinate with departments, crews and other vehicle service techs to facilitate operations.
• Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and operations team.
