Excelsior Ambulance Service in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Paramedic for full-time operations. You will provide emergency medical care under the supervision of the Division Manager and lead on-site response for diverse medical emergencies.

The role requires State Paramedic License, CDL/Driver’s license, and multiple certifications (BLS, PALS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic). Strong physical ability and a commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• State Paramedic License.
• State Driver’s License.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic (SC & AL).
• Driving record in compliance with company policy.
• Pass Physical Agility Test.
• Some work experience, preferably in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best course of action.
• Utilize Paramedic skills on medical equipment to provide care.
• Document patient information and treatment.
• Communicate with patients and families.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene as needed.
• Drive the ambulance on emergency responses.
• Collaborate with health and safety personnel.
