Forsyth County Department of Emergency Services is seeking dedicated paramedics to join our team. Paramedics provide advanced medical care, transport patients to facilities, and perform rescue operations with strong judgment in high-stress environments.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with EMT experience or an associate’s degree in emergency medical care; EMT-Paramedic certification and a valid NC driver’s license are required.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED and one year EMT experience or an associate’s degree in emergency medical care.
• EMT-Paramedic certification is required.
• Must have a valid NC driver’s license; substitutions may apply with higher education.

Responsabilidades

• Responds to emergency calls as ambulance driver or attendant.
• Provides necessary rescue work and emergency medical care; transports to facilities.
• Starts and maintains intravenous infusions; administers meds as trained.
• Maintains ambulance and equipment in proper working order.
• Acts as Preceptor for new employees and students; conducts talks on EMS when needed.
