Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is looking for a Vehicle Service Technician (VST) for a full-time role in Kentucky. The position offers a $1,500 sign-on bonus with commitment and pays $17.00 per hour.

You will ensure ambulances are serviced, stocked, and ready for response, while maintaining safety and quality transportation services for patients. Responsibilities include inventory management, documentation, and interdepartmental coordination.

Qualifications

• Must have valid State Driver's License.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Driving record compliant with company policy.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ambulances are fully stocked, maintained and ready for service.
• Maintain a safe, clean vehicle environment for crew and patients.
• Conduct daily vehicle inventory checks and replace expiring medications/equipment; request restock as needed.
• Document information clearly and adhere to policies while following security standards.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate between departments and other VSTs.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel and operations team.
