Job summary

ADP, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, MD is seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our ambulance fleet.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and service brakes, engines, and suspensions to keep vehicles road-ready. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prior fleet or automotive mechanic experience; knowledge of gas and diesel engines is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training preferred
• Prior experience as a fleet or automotive mechanic
• Working knowledge of gas and diesel engines and vehicle systems
• Preventive maintenance: 1 year (Required)

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on company ambulances and support vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and computer-controlled systems
• Service brakes (including air brakes), engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, and drivetrains
• Complete routine maintenance (oil changes, filters, fluids, belts, tires, hoses)
• Repair or replace components in cooling, exhaust/emissions, hydraulic, air, and electrical systems
• Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
• Support other maintenance tasks as assigned
