Job summary

Qualifications

• NREMT – National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Basic (EMT-B) certification required.
• Must obtain Maryland EMT certification within 30 days.
• Completion of FEMA-ICS 100 and 200 Courses prior to release from orientation is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the ground ambulance safely and efficiently.
• Inspect the ambulance at the start of each shift.
• Initiate department standing orders and perform basic airway techniques.
• Transport patients, medical equipment, and assist in transfers.
