The position emphasizes adherence to Medical Priority Dispatch protocols, timely triage, and clear communication with responders.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED required.
• Medical terminology coursework preferred.
• 6 months experience as Telecommunicator OR 1 year in Dispatcher/EMD/Telecommunicator in EMS/Police/Fire.
• Current EMD certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deploy North Memorial Ambulance resources to maximize response times.
• EMD triages transportation requests and interprets CAD recommendations.
• Triage calls and provide pre-arrival instructions to callers when appropriate.
