Job summary

Piper Sandler’s New York office is seeking an experienced Analyst or Associate for the Secondary Capital Advisory team. The role focuses on advising private equity sponsors and LPs on secondary transactions, including continuation vehicles and liquidity solutions.

Qualified candidates have 2–5 years in investment banking or private equity secondaries, strong financial and analytical skills, and FINRA licenses or willingness to obtain them.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of secondary-specific experience in investment banking, private equity secondaries, or related fields.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials: information memorandums, pitches, client presentations, and due diligence documents.
• Build financial projection models for portfolio companies and fund-level returns.
• Conduct investor outreach, including calls and meetings.
• Facilitate due diligence and legal negotiations.
• Interface with private equity clients, management teams, and investors.
• Screen and due diligence on prospective new mandates; coordinate with M&A teams.
