Job summary

SAA is seeking an Intermediate Designer in Irvine to join the project team focused on designing and documenting interior spaces for corporate offices. You will take on responsibility for design direction, development, and coordination, with project-dependent variation in scope.

Preferred candidates hold a BA/BS with 3–5 years of experience and are proficient in Autocad, Revit, Photoshop, SketchUp, BlueBeam, and MS Office. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in Autocad, Revit, Photoshop, SketchUp and Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal graphic communication skills.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
• Self-starter with initiative and teamwork.
• Knowledge of office space planning, finishes/materials, and design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform interior design assignments under supervision including programming, space planning, design development, finish selection, and coordination.
• Coordinate with consultants, brokers, property managers, construction managers, and product reps.
• Assist in meeting code, city requirements, and plan checks with PM coordination.
• Develop space and pricing plans and manage client expectations and communications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to achieve project objectives.
• Support in office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
