Job summary

Landye Bennett Blumstein LLP in Anchorage seeks an associate attorney with a minimum of three years of litigation experience to join our commercial litigation practice. The successful candidate will be admitted to the Alaska Bar, or eligible to waive in.

Responsibilities include client consultation, legal research, drafting briefs, handling discovery, mediations, and trial preparation, with emphasis on strategy development and participating in trials.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Alaska State Bar, or eligibility to waive in.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Preference given to candidates with experience developing case strategy, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and in trial.

Responsibilities

• General civil practice: client consultation and case evaluation; legal research; drafting briefs and pleadings; handling discovery; mediations and ADR; trial preparation and trial.
