Job summary

Dunham & Jones in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Legal Assistant to support our busy criminal defense practice. This on-site role focuses on client intake, filing, and coordinating between clients, attorneys, and court personnel.

Experience as a Legal Assistant is a plus, bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, and you will join a collaborative, growth-oriented team servicing a firm with 16 offices and over 130 attorneys, strong in DWI defense.

Qualifications

• Legal Assistant experience is a plus but not required.
• Bilingual English & Spanish is a plus but not required.
• This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients via phone, email, and in person with questions or concerns
• Provide assistance to attorneys when requested
• Act as liaison between court clerks and the firm
• Enter new clients into the case management system and maintain the file
• Filing, backup phone operator & other clerical duties

About the role

Our growing criminal defense law firm seeks to add another Legal Assistant, in our Amarillo, TX office, to service our growing client base starting immediately. We operate a busy and highly successful practice with 16 offices supporting over 130 Attorneys. We primarily handle criminal defense misdemeanors and felonies, focusing on DWI cases. We operate as a highly cooperative and collaborative firm, helping to ensure all of our clients receive the best possible service. Our team is detail-oriented driving our growth into new and old markets.
