Job summary

SWVMHI in Marion, VA is recruiting for 12-hour AM Shift Psychiatric Care Technicians/CNAs to join its Nursing Services Team. Working hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with weekend rotations and shift differentials.

Minimum qualifications include obtaining CNA certification within probationary period and maintaining it in good standing with the VA Board of Nursing. A high school diploma is preferred and experience in psychiatric settings is valued.

Qualifications

• Must obtain CNA certification within probationary period.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment.
• Create healthy interpersonal interactions on adult acute admissions unit, geriatric unit, Extended Rehabilitation Service unit.
