Job summary

Marin Hilltop Hotel, part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, is seeking an AM Server to join the Food & Beverage team. The role focuses on delivering attentive, personalized dining service while upholding Marriott hospitality standards and Marin Hilltop Hotel’s character.

The ideal candidate has at least one year in food and beverage, strong communication, and a professional, guest-focused approach for a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time/part-time on-site position with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food and beverage, hospitality, restaurant service, or a related field.
• Valid TIPS Certification.
• Valid Food Handler Card.
• A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for restaurants and customer service.
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• At least 1+ years’ experience as a server, preferably in an upscale/fast-paced environment.
• Ability to anticipate and understand guests' needs, focus attention on service details and work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain menu knowledge and give recommendations from our compilation of cuisine and drink offerings.
• Submit guest menu selections and present these food and beverage preferences to the guest.
• Maintains an awareness of food and product information, merchandise promotions, special offers and advertisements.
• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintains proper cash accountabilities at the POS system.
• Other duties include general restaurant preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment.
• Communicates customer requests to co-workers and/or management in a prompt, efficient manner where needed.
• Cooperates and interacts with colleagues in a positive, respectful manner and with a team approach, offering to assist as needed in order to ensure customer service.
• Reports to work on time and as assigned per the schedule on a regular, consistent basis.

Position Overview

Marin Hilltop Hotel is evolving as part of Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio, a collection of distinctive hotels known for their unique character, personalized service, and memorable guest experiences.

We are seeking an energetic, guest-oriented Server to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will provide attentive, efficient, and personalized dining service while upholding Marriott’s hospitality standards and the unique character of Marin Hilltop Hotel.

Cash Handling & Compliance

• Process all payment methods accurately.
• Count and balance the assigned bank at the end of each shift.
• Complete required cashier reports and report discrepancies.
• Submit receipts and secure cash banks according to company procedures.
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to safety, security, and cash handling.
