Job summary

HRI Hospitality is hiring a Restaurant Server to deliver warm hospitality in our dining venues in Louisiana. You will greet guests, take orders, and ensure proper presentation and service of meals and beverages.

Experience with POS systems and cash handling is a plus, and you should be able to stand for long periods and assist with side work. We value excellent communication and attention to detail to ensure a smooth guest experience and adherence to safety guidelines.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Restaurant Server Department: Food & Beverage Supervision Exercised: None Supervision Received: Restaurant Supervisor / Restaurant Manager / Food & Beverage Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Previous serving or hospitality experience preferred. Experience with POS systems and cash handling a plus. Skills and Knowledge Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dining environment. Knowledge of menu items, allergens, food preparation, and beverage options. Strong attention to detail and order accuracy. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25-30 lbs. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Professional appearance and polished demeanor.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, attentive service. Present menus, answer questions, and make recommendations. Take accurate food and beverage orders and input them into the POS system. Deliver food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and temperature. Check back with guests regularly and anticipate needs. Process payments, handle cash, and balance receipts accurately. Maintain table cleanliness, reset tables, and support dining room organization. Communicate guest needs and concerns to management or kitchen staff as needed. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines. Assist with opening, closing, and side work duties. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
