Job summary

Growscape in Ohio- Middlefield is seeking an Entry level Process Technician to support plastic molding operations. You will set up, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment used in injection molding, thermoforming, and extrusion processes, ensuring product quality and adherence to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include completing mold changes, monitoring automation, performing routine maintenance, inspecting samples, and coordinating with maintenance and QA teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience required.
• Experience with Plastic Injection Molding, Thermoforming, and/or Plastic Extrusion.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving in mechanical and production challenges.
• Team-oriented and safety-focused.
• Accurate paperwork completion.

Responsibilities

• Set up, repair, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Understand production process for molding/thermoforming/extrusion.
• Perform mold changes and process adjustments.
• Monitor automation for quality production.
• Inspect random shots and determine part disposition.
• Process product per Quality/Development specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate with maintenance.
• Complete preventive maintenance with maintenance team.
• Support continuous quality improvement and lean metrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, repair,and troubleshootmanufacturingequipment, ancillary equipment,and support equipment
• Understand the production process as it relates to Plastic Injection Molding, Thermoforming, and/or Plastic Extrusion
• Make required mold changesandprocess adjustments and complete color changes asrequired
• Monitor the automation of processes to ensure a quality production process
• Collect and inspect random shots from molding machines.Use inspection procedures, specifications,and blueprints todeterminedisposition of parts
• Responsible for processing product and/or perform to the specificationsdeterminedby the Quality and Development teams
• Troubleshootequipment, molding processes and cycles,mechanical, pneumatic, electrical,and hydraulic issues and partner with maintenance asrequired
• Complete preventative maintenance requirements in coordination with the maintenance team
• Promote continuous quality improvement processesand implementing lean metrics
• Lead by example and performs all job dutiesin accordance withThe HC Companies values
• Support all company policies and procedures
• Perform other administrative tasks and special projects as assigned

Qualifications
