AM/PM Line Cook - Lahontan Golf Club

Pay Range: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Lahontan Golf Club is a high‑end, private golf facility in Truckee, CA. Our goal is to provide our members and their guests with a world‑class golf experience. This seasonal position offers part‑time and full‑time opportunities. The ideal candidate is prompt, energetic, and has a broad understanding of food and beverage operations, prioritizing excellent service and member satisfaction.

Job Description

A Food and Beverage Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring timely and efficient service. The candidate must have basic cooking skills, demonstrate promptness and reliability, maintain exceptional organization and cleanliness, and present a professional demeanor that supports a collaborative team environment while adhering to all food safety and sanitation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Control breakfast, lunch, and dinner lines
  • Remain organized and clean throughout all service periods
  • Strong interest and knowledge of different cuisines
  • Food prep, presentation and storage knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Remain flexible and available for cross training
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of line‑cooking experience desired (willing to train the right candidate)
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience
  • English proficiency
  • Ability to comply with all food safety and sanitation standards
Work Environment

The work environment includes exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, chemicals, outdoor weather, heat, electrical shock risk, vibration, and moderate noise levels. Work involves flames, sautéing, frying, boiling, use of cleaners, sanitizers, all‑purpose cleaners, grease cleaners, and window cleaners, as well as kitchen equipment such as food processors, slicers, and blenders.

Physical Demands

Regularly standing, walking, using hands, reaching, climbing, balancing, speaking, hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Lifting and moving loads of up to 10 lb, frequently up to 50 lb, and occasionally more than 100 lb. Vision requirements include close, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustments.

Education or Experience

High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Truckee, CA 96161: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred).
