Line cook position

Capital City Club Brookhaven's Culinary Department is looking to hire an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and team-focused individual for our Breakfast Line Cook position in The Overlook. This position is full-time with flexibility for part-time interest. The position includes health, vision, life, dental insurance, 401(k) with a company match, hot meals, and uniforms. The restaurant specializes in high-end Mediterranean cuisine.

Essential Functions:

1. Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
2. Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
3. Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
4. Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
5. Cleans and maintains station, practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
6. Properly uses and maintains all equipment in the station.
7. Assists with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas.
8. Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef or Sous Chefs.

Qualifications:

1. Understanding of professional cooking and pizza making.
2. Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
3. 2+ years of scratch cooking experience.
4. Proficiency in English and professional communication skills.
5. Ability to work in a team environment.
6. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
7. Problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and organization.
8. Commitment to quality service, food, and beverage knowledge.
9. Must be able to stand for 100% of the time.
10. Occasional exposure to cold, heat, and water.
11. Ability to transport up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly.
12. Basic understanding of cooking directions; member-facing position.

Position Reports to: Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
