Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers is seeking a Professional Driver for our Texas operations in Coppell. You will start under a Trainer, learn the C&S Way, and progress through a rigorous DOT-compliant training program while delivering to customers with a focus on safety and service.

The role requires DOT compliance, a valid Class A CDL, and 1–2 years of tractor-trailer experience. Expect regular stops, loading/unloading duties, and ongoing training with competitive pay and benefits.

• Valid DOT medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload ambient or temperature sensitive product for customers (3–10 stops per day).
• Inspect equipment and ensure operability in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Perform regulatory inspections and carry out all duties as assigned.

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Description

• Driver will load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day
• Driver will inspect, document and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements
• Inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements
• All other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications

• Specialized Knowledge : DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Special Skills : Must be at least 21 years old
• Physical abilities: : Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam. Other: : Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements
• Enjoy working with people. : Quality and customer-service focused. Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures : Years Of Experience 1-2 : Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience 1-2 : Supporting a large Enterprise Storage environment 1-2 : One year of recent applicable CMV experience or participation/completion of a company approved CDL truck driving school
