Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties. All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the specialized skills developed with experience and the C&S Professional Driver Training Program, operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck/eighteen-wheeler/box truck, etc.), applying knowledge of training and commercial driving regulations, to transport and safely deliver product.
• Load and unload (ambient or temperature sensitive) product to customers on an average of 3-10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document, and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with all regulatory and company requirements; inspect equipment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Travel Required: Yes.

• Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Qualifications

• Specialized Knowledge: DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Special Skills: Must be at least 21 years old
• Physical abilities: Valid Department Of Transportation Physical Exam
• Other: Must be DOT certified with all qualification requirements
• Customer service oriented; quality and customer-service focused
• Comply with FMCSR/DOT/Company policies and procedures

Years Of Experience

• 1-2: Minimum 1 year of recent tractor-trailer experience
• 1-2: One year of recent applicable CMV experience or completion of a company-approved CDL truck driving school
