A Cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.

What will I be doing?

As a Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed


Schedule: Morning Shifts, Including Weekend Brunch

Wisteria Restaurant & Bar is seeking a dependable and skilled AM Breakfast Cook to join our culinary team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for breakfast service, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of breakfast items including properly cooked eggs (scrambled, over-easy, poached, omelets), pancakes, French toast, and breakfast meats.
  • Perform basic prep work: chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, organizing station setup.
  • Support weekend brunch service, including a few added brunch-focused items beyond the standard breakfast menu.
  • Follow standardized recipes, plating guidelines, and portion controls.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of your station, in line with health and safety protocols.
  • Follow directions accurately and communicate clearly with the team and leadership.


Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a breakfast cook or line cook role.
  • Strong knowledge of egg cookery and traditional breakfast preparation.
  • Ability to read and execute recipes with consistency.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work early morning hours.
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
