Job summary

Spire Hospitality’s Marriott Covington team is seeking a Busser to join the Food & Beverage department in Covington, KY. You will deliver beverages and meals, assist servers, and ensure a warm, efficient dining experience.

The role is full-time, on-site with benefits including early pay options, medical/dental/vision, and hotel discounts. High school diploma and Food Handlers Certification required; prior hospitality experience is welcome but not essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Food Handlers Certification required
• No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
• Additional language ability preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver best-in-class service to our guests with engagement and thoughtfulness
• Prepare food and beverage trays and carts in anticipation of incoming orders, ensuring everything is ready for prompt service
• Retrieve food and beverage items from the kitchen, verifying that each order is complete with all food, beverages, alcoholic drinks, and condiments
• Warmly welcome guests by serving beverages, breads, and butter to enhance their dining experience, and graciously replenish as needed to ensure their satisfaction
• Swiftly refresh tables, and diligently reset all service-ware to create a welcoming and immaculate environment
• Replenish and restock side-stands, to maintain smooth operations

Essential Job Functions

Physical Demands

• Kneel, stoop, grasp, lift and carry, and transport 50 – 75lbs
• Manual dexterity of hands to use food and beverage equipment
• Work most of the shift standing and moving about in the restaurant and kitchen areas

Experience

• Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Food Handlers Certification required
• No prior experience required. Prior hospitality experience preferred.
