Job summary

C cupcakin' Bake Shop is seeking a well-rounded pastry cook able to bake cupcakes, cookies and cakes from scratch and to decorate them with buttercream. The ideal candidate works well independently or with a team and can keep a clean, orderly workstation.

We value reliability, punctuality, and a passion for quality. This is a part-time position requiring early morning shifts, weekends and holidays, with opportunities to grow as we expand our product line.

Qualifications

• One year of pastry/baking experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with buttercream decorating/piping is required.
• Must be able to work early mornings, weekends and Holidays (4:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.).
• Punctual and reliable.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Friendly and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Bake quality cupcakes, cookies, and cakes from scratch.
• Decorate pastries with buttercream and piping.
• Contribute to expanding the product line in a team environment.

Cupcakin' Bake Shop is an Artisan style bake shop based in Berkeley, CA with a focus on making the absolute best cupcakes and cakes from scratch using fresh, high-quality, local, and sustainable ingredients. • You should have reliable transportation.

CERTIFICATIONS:

• Food Handler Certification.
