Job summary

Assumption University seeks an Alumni Engagement professional to cultivate relationships with alumni, parents, and donors through communications and major events. The role oversees volunteer management, Homecoming/ Reunion programming, and campus and regional activities.

Candidate will work with university stakeholders to enhance engagement, manage social content, and support fundraising goals while aligning with the Catholic Assumptionist identity of the institution.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree or 1-3 years of related experience required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work with confidential information.
• Experience with event planning and management.
• Strong administrative skills preferred.
• Ability to travel and available for evening and weekend work.
• Enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
• Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption University.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Assistant Vice President of Alumni and Donor Engagement for designing and implementing events and engagement opportunities regionally and on-campus.
• In conjunction with the AVP, responsible for developing programming for Homecoming and Reunion weekends and oversight of regional alumni events.
• Capture photographs and videos at on-campus and off-campus events for the Alumni/Advancement Office and the broader University.
• Collaborate with Integrated Marketing and the Director of Stewardship and Communications on projects each semester to enhance university marketing efforts.
• Oversee the Alumni Engagement Instagram account and assist in monitoring other Alumni accounts and triage requests as necessary.
• Provide data and analytics for the Instagram Account for tracking purposes.
• Serve as the primary coordinator of the Senior Class Gift and assist with senior events and commencement weekend activities.
• Provide oversight for three to four reunion classes including their communications and fundraising efforts.
• Serve as the Liaison to Athletics assisting with their alumni events on and off campus.
• Serve as the Liaison to Student Affairs assisting them with traditional events.
• Oversee the Annual Donor Gratitude event in conjunction with Day of Giving events.
• Coordinate, implement any related University events with AVP of Alumni and Donor Engagement.
• Performs other duties as required.
