Job summary

Troy University is seeking an Annual Giving & Special Projects Coordinator to support the university’s annual giving program and drive donor engagement. This role coordinates gift pipelines, drafts communications, and plans special events with deans and faculty to strengthen fundraising and alumni relations.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in fundraising, donor relations, or events, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 1–3 years in fundraising, donor relations, events, or customer services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
• Ability to interact with a wide variety of constituents.
• Excellent computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual giving gift pipeline and donor stewardship.
• Support annual giving appeals strategy (direct mail, email, campaigns).
• Draft donor communications and stewardship materials.
• Monitor metrics and prepare progress reports for leadership.
• Plan and execute fundraising events and alumni engagement activities.
• Manage event logistics, including venues, budgets, invites, and day-of execution.
• Collaborate with deans, faculty, and campus partners to align with academic mission.
• Evaluate outcomes and donor engagement impact; propose improvements.
• Develop relationships with academic units to identify engagement and giving opportunities.
• Serve as liaison between annual giving and academic units.
