Job summary

Rhodes College in Memphis, TN, seeks an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations to grow lifelong alumni engagement through personalized outreach, volunteer programs, and events.

The role partners with the Executive Director and Development team to recruit alumni for philanthropy, career connections, and campus activities, while maintaining accurate engagement records and coordinating the Rhodes Career Network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 0-3 years’ experience in higher education, alumni relations, volunteer management, project management, communications, nonprofit administration, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and cultivate alumni relationships through outreach and events.
• Increase alumni engagement by connecting constituents with volunteering, career networking, admission recruitment, and philanthropy.
• Maintain alumni records and track engagement; coordinate with frontline fundraisers for events and check-ins.
• Recruit and oversee Rhodes Alumni Student Ambassadors and manage ambassadors for major events.
• Provide logistical support for volunteer boards, committees, and councils.
