Job summary

Oshkosh Vocational Tennessee in Murfreesboro is hiring Welder I to interpret blueprints and assemble components using bench, MIG, and TIG welding (aluminum). You will work on varied orders with attention to quality and safety.

Shift: Monday–Thursday, four 10-hour days, 6:00am–4:30pm. Direct hire, competitive hourly pay from $21.32 to $24.09 in the first 6 months, paid weekly, and a comprehensive benefits package from day one, including 401(k) match and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more of relevant welding experience.
• Proficient in MIG welding as demonstrated by an on-site weld skills test.
• High School Diploma or equivalent education.

Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble various components for welding.
• Weld out of position.
• Set up machine for welding.
• Weld aluminum components (bench, MIG, TIG).
• Drill and grind welds.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
