Job Description

Job Summary: The welder is responsible for fitting and welding aluminum parts using a MIG and/or TIG process. Also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as assigned by his supervisor.

  • Set up welding machines based on the job at hand and using a Welding Procedure Specification.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
  • Ensure work is done safely and meets qualifying standards.
  • Follow, create, and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications.
  • Operate machinery used in the production process.
  • Assemble items as instructed by supervisor.
  • Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
  • Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with aluminum and/or stainless steel required.
  • Ability to lift heavy items up to 50 pounds consistently required.
  • Ability to identify and measure material.
  • Ability to produce quality products consistently.
  • Knowledge of machine and tools, including the designs and uses.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges.
Qualifications
  • Welding certificate required.
  • 2+ years of experience.
