Qualifications

• 2+ years of aluminum MIG & TIG welding experience.
• Able to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Safety-minded with attention to detail.
• AWS D1.2 certification preferred.
• Team-oriented and able to work independently.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions.
• PPE provided; exposure to heat, noise and fumes.

Job description

Position Title: Aluminum Welder Wage: $28.00-$32.00 per hour + a $2 shift premium for 2nd shift Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 6:00am-2:30pm; 2:00pm-10:30pm QPS Employment Group has a great Aluminum Welder position available at a company in Franklin, WI. This is a 1st and 2nd shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Aluminum Welder Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum components using MIG and TIG techniques with accuracy and consistency.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools.
• Inspect welds for quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Support continuous improvement in welding processes.

Aluminum Welder Requirements

• 2+ years of aluminum MIG & TIG welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Welding certification preferred (e.g., AWS D1.2).
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions.
• Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision welding
• Exposure to heat, noise, and welding fumes (PPE provided)
• Frequently required to sit/stand, talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls.
• Required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and occasionally reach above shoulders.
