Job summary

QPS Employment Group is actively seeking a MIG Welder in Belvidere, IL. The role requires MIG welding of wire racks per blueprints and specifications, with the ability to read blueprints and measurement gauges. A test weld is required before starting, and lifting up to 60 lbs is common during shifts.

Shifts available: 1st and 2nd, with hours 7:00am-3:00pm or 3:30pm-12:00am. This is a great opportunity with immediate hiring.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year MIG welding experience.
• Must pass MIG weld test.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Must be able to read gauges, micrometers and calipers.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk the entire shift.
• Must be able to bend, stoop and reach frequently throughout the entire shift.

• Weld wire racks together according to blueprints, instructions and specifications using MIG welding.
• Read blueprints, templates, and instructions to weld aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel wire racks.
• Ensure welds are of good quality and aesthetically pleasing.
• Load and unload product and welding equipment to and from workstation.
• Keep work area clean.

Wage: $23.00 per hour Shift: 1st, 2nd Hours: 7:00am-3:00pm; 3:30pm-12:00am. QPS Employment Group has a great MIG Welder position at a company in Belvidere, IL.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for MIG welding wire racks together according to blueprints, instructions and specifications.
• Reading blueprints, templates, and instructions in order to weld accordingly MIG welding aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel wire racks together Ensuring welds are of good quality and aesthetically pleasing.
• Loading and unloading product and welding equipment to and from workstation.
• Keep work area clean.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass MIG weld test prior to starting work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Must be able to read gauges, micrometers and calipers.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs. frequently throughout the entire shift.
