Job summary

Pennex Aluminum Company LLC in Wellsville, PA is seeking a Press Operator to run a hydraulic extrusion press and an extrusion puller, ensuring quality and high productivity in a safety‑mocused environment.

You will set billet length, furnace temp, ram speed and puller program, monitor for quality issues, perform setups and changeovers, and keep a neat, compliant work area while following all safety rules.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to operate in a team or independent setting with good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Sets billet length, furnace temperature controls, ram speed and puller program for optimum production and quality.
• Monitors for quality problems and makes changes to setup to improve productivity/quality.
• Assists with set ups, tear downs and changeovers and minimizes downtime during die changeovers.
• Maintains a neat work area and follows safety rules and procedures.
• Completes daily preventive maintenance and documents PM checklists.
