Job summary

Pennex is seeking a Press Operator for our Wellsville, PA site. You will operate a hydraulic extrusion press and extrusion puller, ensuring quality and high productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in metal machining or hydraulic press work, can read complex instructions, and meet pre-employment requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role within the MX Holdings family of brands.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One or more years of experience and/or training.
• Prefer hydraulic press operation or metal machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in US customary units.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with good communication.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen; eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Set billet length, furnace temps, ram speed and puller program for optimum production.
• Monitor for quality issues and adjust setup to improve productivity/quality.
• Assist with setup, tear downs and changeovers.
• Maintain a neat work area and perform daily duties as assigned.
• Follow safety rules and report problems promptly.
