Job summary

Pennex Aluminum Solutions in Wellsville, PA is seeking an Aluminum Extrusion Press Operator. You will set up and operate the extrusion line, install dies and tooling, verify calibration, and maintain quality through real-time measurement and inspection.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience on presses and using measuring tools. You will work a rotating 12-hour shift, collaborating with foreman and lead person, and may mentor an apprentice as you gain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
• Experience with presses or similar production equipment, interpreting technical instructions, and using measurement tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up extrusion line: install and align dies, molds, and tooling; verify calibration.
• Load materials and ensure billets meet specifications.
• Run the press: manage feeds, speeds, temperatures, and other parameters to maintain target output.
• Measure and visually inspect parts in real time to ensure they match prints.
• Clean, lubricate, and replace worn parts; troubleshoot small issues to limit downtime.
• Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and report hazards.
• Document output, downtime, scrap, and material usage; complete required paperwork.
• Collaborate with Foreman and Lead Person; mentor a Press Apprentice as experience grows.
