Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team in Oceanside, CA. The role involves welding aluminum pieces using GMAW/MIG and FCAW processes, reading blueprints, and preparing parts for finishing.

You will follow safety programs, adhere to schedules, and inspect finished components to ensure quality. Work hours are first shift, with potential overtime. The ideal candidate has high school diploma and hands-on welding experience, capable of 1G/2G/3G positions and precision

Qualifications

• Training and experience in GMAW/MIG and FCAW welding is required.
• Ability to read weld symbols and follow blueprints.
• Good math basics and manual dexterity for precision welding.

Responsibilities

• Follows all safety programs and requirements.
• Adheres to production schedule.
• Reads, assembles, and welds from blueprints.
• Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to prevent overheating, warping or distortion.
• GMAW/MIG Spray Transfer welding with up to 250 Amp, 32 Volt, 400 IPM wire speed.
• 1G, 2G and 3G welding daily.
• Uses .045 - .052 metal core wire with 90/10 gas.
• Grinds and wire wheels product to clean surfaces for painting.
• Inspects final products per print for quality assurance.
• Tags final products for identification.
• Maintains, cleans, and organizes equipment and work area.
• Notifies supervisor of faulty equipment or materials.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
