Job summary

Constellium Bowling Green is seeking an Operator Technician to set up and operate equipment for tempering, annealing, or heat-treating aluminum. The role requires reading production schedules and maintaining precise temperatures and cycles.

You will monitor processes, perform continuity checks, and ensure safe operation in a high-temperature environment. Responsibilities include handling furnaces, baths, and induction machines, documenting process times, and performing routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Ability to perform manual work in temperatures up to 110 degrees.
• Ability to work a rotating swing shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment to temper, anneal, or heat-treat aluminum.
• Read production schedules to determine sequences, temperatures, and heat cycles.
• Document times parts are removed from treatment.
• Set up and operate furnaces, baths, flame hardening machines, and induction machines.
• Determine baths and quenching media to achieve specified hardness/ductility.
• Remove parts from furnaces and cool in baths or air.
• Monitor operations to ensure machines run correctly.
• Adjust controls to maintain temperatures and heating times.
• Test parts for hardness using testing equipment.
• Repair, replace, and maintain equipment with hand tools.
• Follow safe working procedures.
