Job summary

Responsibilities

• Position, align, fit, and weld parts to form complete units/components per blueprints and layout specs.
• Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications using rulers and tapes.
• Tack-weld parts; lay out stock; and align parts using jacks, turnbuckles and clamps.
• Study drawings to determine materials, sequences, and required operations.
• Move parts using hoists or cranes and operate fabricating machines as needed.
