Pennex Aluminum Company in York, PA is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate fabricating machines such as brake presses and punch presses to cut, shape, and bend aluminum parts to customer specifications.

The role requires 1–3 years of machine operation in manufacturing, the ability to read blueprints and safety rules, and basic math. We offer competitive wages, benefits, and daily pay options.

Qualificações

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1 to 3 years of machine operation in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read blueprints and perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to work with weight, volume, and distance measurements.

Responsabilidades

• Receives press assignments and job duties from shop foreman or supervisor.
• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Sets stop guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule, or template.
• Positions workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
• Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.
• Observes machine operation to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Measures workpiece dimensions to ensure accuracy.
• Packages completed pieces for shipment per customer specifications.
• Completes all paperwork associated with fabricated pieces.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling the machine, dies, or workpieces.
• Assists other operators to set up machines and stack/pack finished pieces.
