Job summary

Lakeside Recruiting Solutions in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Simulation Engineer to perform Magmasoft solidification simulations and CAD gating designs for aluminum castings. The role analyzes results, correlates with production issues, and supports continuous improvement.

The engineer will develop tooling and process controls, collaborate with pattern shops and the internal process engineering team, and contribute to ongoing improvements across casting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Magmasoft software.
• Solid understanding of gating and risering basics in aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Design gating systems for new and existing jobs through CAD modeling.
• Perform solidification analysis using Magmasoft.
• Analyze and develop reports with detailed findings from Magmasoft results.
• Correlate real world casting issues to Magmasoft results and use the software to improve processes.
• Develop new tooling with external pattern shops and in-house process engineering team.
• Create new job process controls.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
