Job summary

Aspire Health and Community Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team in Massachusetts. This 16-hour per week, part-time position operates on an alternating weekend schedule to provide specialized nursing care in a 24-hour crisis stabilization program.

Responsibilities include medication administration, coordination of medical care, health/wellness activities, WRAP/safety planning, and thorough clinical documentation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
  • LPN license required by the Massachusetts Board of Registration.
  • Ability to work independently with sound clinical judgment.
  • One year of experience in an acute mental health setting preferred.
  • Familiarity with recovery-oriented treatment approaches preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and document clients' self administration of medications while ensuring safe medication practices.
  • Monitor clients' physical health needs and coordinate acute medical care with direct care staff.
  • Facilitate health and wellness groups and activities that promote recovery and well-being.
  • Deliver strength based, solution focused nursing interventions and support WRAP and safety plans.
  • Complete assigned clinical documentation and participate in required trainings.

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team. In this role, you’ll provide specialized nursing care to adults in a 24-hour crisis stabilization program that serves as a medically necessary, voluntary, and less restrictive alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Our CCS program features a newly renovated 10 bed unit where individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis receive short-term stabilization and support. Typical stays range from 3 to 5 days but are flexible based on each individual's needs.

Schedule: Alternating Weekends (Every Other Weekend)

  • Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Saturday & Sunday | 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Friday & Saturday | 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
LPN Shift Differentials For The Stabilization Unit Position Are
  • 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM (Sat & Sun only) = Base + $1.00
  • 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (ANY day of the week) = Base + $2.00
  • 3:00 PM - 11:00PM (Monday through Friday) = Base + $1.00
What You Will Do
  • Monitor and document clients' self administration of medications while ensuring safe medication practices.

  • Facilitate health and wellness groups and activities that promote recovery and overall well-being.
  • Deliver strength based, solution focused nursing interventions and support individuals in developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and safety plans.
  • Complete assigned clinical documentation and participate in required trainings to support high quality care.
What You Will Bring
  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Diploma/Associates/or Bachelor’s degree)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) must be licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and provide compassionate, high-quality care
  • One year of experience in an acute mental health and/or co-occurring disorders setting preferred
  • Familiarity with recovery oriented treatment approaches for individuals with severe mental illness preferred

Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are based on a full-time, 40 hours per week position.

Salary Range

$31.25 - $36.06 USD
