Job summary

Nordstrom in San Jose is seeking a skilled Tailor/Fitter to provide exceptional service through expert craft. You will measure customers, fit garments, and complete alterations in line with store standards.

You will work with the Alterations & Store Team to meet deadlines, educate customers on fit and style, and uphold Nordstrom's commitment to quality service. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of tailoring experience and excellent customer communication.

Qualifications

• Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience (2–3 years preferred).
• Clear, professional communication with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Measure customers for size and mark alterations.
• Perform fittings and sewing alterations on time according to Nordstrom guidelines.
• Meet productivity goals while following processes and procedures.
• Use store technology to manage alteration needs.
• Deliver customer expectations through teamwork within the Alterations & Store Team.
• Educate customers and employees on fit, style, construction, and trends.
